Copyright Rectification
After the application for registration of copyright is filed, the Copyright registrar provides only 1 month for third parties to raise opposition. If the opposition is not raised by anyone within the prescribed period then the copyright will be registered.
However, the Copyrights Act provides a provision for the rectification of copyright after the copyright is registered. As per Copyrights act, any person who is aggrieved by the registration of a copyright can file an application for rectification of copyright. Accordingly, the registrar, after being satisfied, will make changes in the register of the copyright.
We at Delhi IP have experienced Copyright attorneys who assists our clients in filing rectification petition in cases where our client is aggrieved by the registration of copyright of someone else. We also assists our clients in defending their copyright in case someone files a rectification petition against them.
