Design Patent Registration in India
In order to get a registration for design in India the Design should be new and novel and should be appealing to the eyes. If it is not visible to the eyes then your design will not get registered.
In order to register your design, firstly you have to file an application for registration of design along with Form 1. The application for registration of design must show the representation of design. Further the application must be drafted carefully for smooth registration process.
After filing of the application, the application is examined by the examiner. If there are some errors in the application then the examiner will raise the objections which have to be corrected by the applicant within the prescribed period. If the objection are not corrected then the application will be considered as abandoned.
After clearing the all, the application is published in the Patents journal and if no objections are raised during this period then the Design will get registered.
