Jaya Makhija

Jaya is Managing Associate and Registered Patent Agent at Delhi IP. Her core area of practice is patents pertaining to biotechnology, medical diagnostics, medical/ biomedical devices, pharmaceuticals, bio-pharmaceuticals, therapeutics, nanotechnology, organic chemistry biochemistry, polymers, microbiology, molecular biology and. She has an excellent understanding on Indian IP Law and provide her inputs in inventions of all technical domains. She is well versed with the intricacies of patent filing procedures. 

She regularly provides opinions on patentability, validity and enforcement of patent rights, freedom-to-operate, infringement analysis and assists clients apart from managing patent portfolios. 

Prior to joining Delhi IP, She has worked with many prestigious organizations. She has earned certifications in patent search and patent drafting from prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IITKGP) and  Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). She holds bachelor of technology (B. Tech) in Biotechnology.
